It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?//November 5, 2018

It’s Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme started by Sheila at Book Journeys and now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It’s also a great chance to see what others are reading right now…you just might discover the next “must-read” book!
Jen, of Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee and Ricki, at UnleashingReaders decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus.

I have to admit, I was not happy for it to be Monday when I woke up today. It’s going to be a busy week for me but at least I have a fun weekend to look forward to!

Here’s what I’m currently reading:

The Love and Lies of Rukhsana Ali by Sabina Khan
36362234

I was so excited to win a copy of this book in a giveaway. It’s about a lesbian Muslim teen who has very conservative parents. She has to hide who she really is from her parents for fear of how they will react. I’m already really loving this book and how honest it is.

Sister BFFs by Philippa Rice

This is one of the many graphic novels I checked out from the library last week. I love Philippa’s Soppy comics and was super excited to find something else by her. It’s just cute, silly comics about sisters.

The Governess Game by Tessa Dare

As you may know, I started reading romance novels this year. I’ve never read a single page of a historical romance novel before so I’m interested in giving this one a try. I don’t know if I’ll end up finishing it but I’m excited to try something new. Let me know if there’s a historical fiction novel that a newbie should try!

  1. Nice assortment of books. I used to read more historical romances than I do now. My tastes have switched more to romantic suspense and mysteries. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
